Having worked 18 years in Los Angeles, an area rich in massage therapists and

bodyworkers of many varieties, Marco maintained a client book of about 200 people. Many of those clients were with him from the start. He is now establishing his new clientele in Columbia, TN and surrounding areas.

A massage with Marco Barman is unique to your situation during each massage because your body is not exactly the same on any 2 given days. Marco's therapeutic treatments are targeted toward not only alleviating your symptoms but, as far as they are treatable by massage, addressing the underlying causes to your symptoms as well.*

Whether it be chronic lower back pain, sciatic and/or hip and leg pain, headaches, post-weekend-warrior ache, etc, Marco works with you to assess what exactly is going on in your body.

He then pulls from a variety of techniques from several modalities to determine which one(s) will be most effective.

Given nearly two decades of experience, Marco is well-versed in ART/PRT, deep tissue work, sports massage, Swedish massage, Stretching, Trigger Point Therapy and Precision Neuro-Muscular Therapy (PNMT) and more.

If treatments other than massage seem like they would be beneficial, Marco will work to connect you with other specialists to achieve the best possible results (eg: chiropractors, acupuncturists, PT, personal trainers, nutritionists, fascial release specialists, etc)

Currently Marco has teamed up with Mason Chiropractic Health + Wellness in Downtown Franklin, TN and does Massage Therapy on clients and patients there.

I was first introduced to Marco through my personal trainer - he came highly recommended. At the time, I was suffering from some chronic ‘nerve’ pain in my arm & had gone to see many specialists to no avail. My distrust of Western medical practices left me exploring more holistic options.

Marco has been my massage therapist for over a decade. He has helped me relieve serious back pain, knee pain, foot pain and shoulder pain over the years, using a combination of deep tissue and myofascial release techniques.

Unlike any other massage therapist I have seen (while out of town, or for couples massage), Marco listens carefully to how I describe the pain, and then takes time to explain which muscle, or tissue may be involved and how he plans to treat it.

I don’t believe in magic, but this guy has cured chronic pain (couldn’t put much weight on my right foot for months) in one session.

I have been a client of Marco's for almost 10 years. We started by working on a specific issue. Once that was resolved I tried periodic maintenance appointments and rapidly saw the wisdom and benefits to that kind of self care.

Marco is great at finding the areas that are the root cause of your pain and works to alleviate the symptoms and help your body heal.

My most memorable session was about 4 years ago when I was undergoing treatment by my neurologist for numbness in my leg. During our session I was relaying my issues and the doctor's diagnosis to Marco. After some questions and palpating my leg and hip muscles he determined the numbness in my leg was not due to a nerve issue but was being triggered by a muscle issue in my hip! We were able to work toward a much more successful resolution after that.

A decade is enough time to see someone's true character. Marco is honest, completely dependable, strong with a considerate touch, passionate about his work, and has a positive impact on the world around him. As a woman, there are additional concerns when you bring someone into your home. I'm not a person who trusts easily. He earned my trust and has it to this day. Being a weekend warrior who never was smart enough to stretch and strengthen, I have had body pain most of my life. Years of basketball, golf, tennis, boogie boarding etc. have definitely taken their toll on my body and massage has been one of many treatments I have looked to for pain mitigation and muscle recovery.
